Volume [4] contains the plates, and has no title-leaf, only a letterpress "Explanation of the plan [of the Mint]." with "Vol. IV." in the direction-line.
The plates are largely reprinted from earlier works. Some are signed as etched by Francis Perry or William Parsons (the latter after drawings by himself or Edward Edwards).
A separate Supplement (including addenda and corrigenda and additional plates) was published in 1819, at the same time as a complete second edition of the work.
In the imprint "T. Asperne" is en error for "J. Asperne". "Mr. Miles" and "Mr. Young" in the imprint appear not to have been conventional booksellers, and may perhaps have been coin-sellers.
Lowndes notes that large paper copies were available.
