This book was published on occasion of the exhibition "Ecart : Geneva 1969-1982: l'irrésolution commune d'un engagement équivoque", at MAMCO, Musée d'art moderne et contemporain (October 28, 1997-January 19, 1998) and at the Cabinet d'arts graphiques of the Musée d'art et de histoire (October 28-December 21, 1997), Geneva. The present second edition was realized in the framework of the research project "Ecart 1969-1982. Une archive collective" placed under the responsibility of Yann Chateigné and Elisabeth Jobin.
